How to make a perfect Omelette

Omelets have always been a favourite food to eat for breakfast. But how do they turn out so perfectly? I have tried many different recipes and methods, but none of them work. Today, I'd like to share some tips with you in order to make delicious and fluffy omelets every day.

We should first know that eggs are very temperamental ingredients when making omelets. It is important that eggs are fresh from an organic market and kept cool until used. If you don't keep them cold enough, the whites won't form properly, and the yolks will break down too much and become runny. This causes your omelets to look oddly colored. If you plan to cook the eggs right away, it is best to use room temperature eggs.

Another tip is to separate your egg before adding it into the pan. It is important not to allow any white to mix with the yolk as this could lead to the omelet becoming curdled.

If you add the egg directly onto the stovetop, you might end up burning the bottom part of the egg, which would ruin the texture of your omelet. Instead, put the egg in the microwave for 10 seconds before putting it into the pan. The microwave heat is sufficient to cook the egg without overcooking.

Next, let's talk about mixing the eggs. When you mix eggs together, you want to beat them well. Turn the bowl upside down and grab the whisk to do this. Next, shake the bowl vigorously. This allows the air to be whipped and the egg to be mixed thoroughly.

Now it's time to have fun: pour the milk into the mixture. First, pour half of the milk into the beaten eggs and then fold the eggs gently into the remaining milk. If you still see streaks of eggs, don't worry. These streaks will disappear once the omelet has been turned over.

After folding the eggs fold the pan onto medium heat. When the oil starts to hot, wait for the pan to cook. Once the oil starts getting hot, add 1/4 cup of butter to the pan and swirl it around to coat the entire surface of the pan. The lid should be carefully opened. Sprinkle salt in the pan. A pinch of salt will prevent your omelet from sticking in the pan.

Cover the pan once the omelet is formed and allow it to cool completely. Flip the omelet with a spatula, or flip it upside down. Cook the other side for another minute or two. Remove the omelet from the pan and serve immediately.

This recipe is best when used with whole milk. But, you can use skimmed milk as well.
